Vietnam: Ferrous scrap imports from Japan rise in Nov’20

SE Asia largest ferrous scrap buyer- Vietnam has recorded a marginal drop in Nov’20 imported scrap volumes. Imports stood at 0.52 mn t in Nov’20 as against 0.55 mn t in Oct’20, as per the data maintained with SteelMint. Imports from Japan increased to 0.35 mn t, (up by 9% m-o-m). However imports from US and Australia have come down sharply on supply concerns.
