Vietnam’s coal production touched an eight-month high of 4.5 mn t in Nov’21, up 17% m-o-m and 9% y-o-y, data from the General Statistics Office revealed. The rise in coal output came amid global thermal coal prices rising sharply last year. As per industry estimates, Vietnam’s coal output is expected to reach 47.9 mn t in CY’21.
