Vietnam’s bulk imports of coal and coke increased to 4.4 mnt in Jan’26, marking a 26% m-o-m rise from Dec’25 and a 2% y-o-y increase. The growth was driven by higher procurement to meet power generation and industrial requirements. Indonesia led arrivals at 2.2 mnt, up 29% m-o-m, followed by Australia at 2.0 mnt, recording a 25% m-o-m increase.
