Traders/ stockist are receiving reasonable pricing on supply of rebar from Raipur to north India.
Viewing the unexpected fall in rebar prices since the starting of the month in various markets, including central India, viability of rebar supply from Raipur to MZF/ NCR region seems to improve now.
Presently, Raipur based medium size rebar manufacturers are offering 10, 12 mm material at INR 24,300-24,400/MT (basic price). While, Muzaffarnagar based manufacturers are offering 12-25 mm at INR 26,600/MT (basic price).
Few large manufacturers/premium brand based in north India are offering 12-25 mm rebar at INR 32,000/MT, including VAT paid, to NCR/Delhi.
Trade sources have confirmed that few deals had concluded at INR 23,800-24,100/MT(basic price) for 10, 12 mm from Raipur to various part of U.P.
Freight from Raipur to Lucknow/ Moradabad is now at INR 1,800-2,000/MT and to Muzaffarnagar at around INR 2,600/MT.
A large rebar manufacturer based in north India said, “At present, rebar sales are not so good, but we strongly expect that demand will improve from the next week or from the starting of the next month till before monsoon”.
