Vedanta to Export 3rd Iron Ore Vessel to China

Iron ore division of Vedanta-Sesa Iron ore, is all set to ship its 3^rd iron ore export consignment to China.

Mining giant-Vedanta Ltd which resumed iron ore exports from Goa on 19 Oct’15 has already exported 2 iron ore vessels to China. Now, the company is about to ship its 3^rd consignment from Panaji Port to China via vessel named “Sophia”.

“The third vessel carrying 84,000 MT iron ore (majorly fines) is up for loading and will probably finish loading in a span of 3 days. This is the 3rd iron ore export vessel under the export contract which the company signed around a month back for export of 3 vessels.”-quoted an official in anonymity.

In the Goa iron ore e-auctions conducted in the month of Sept’15, Vedanta (Sesa Sterlite ) purchased 0.41 MnT iron ore fines ranging from grade Fe 51-67%.
