The lower sales from Karnataka were offset by substantially higher sales volumes from Goa despite the seasonal impact of monsoons.
Iron ore production was stable at 3.2 MT while sales increased by 24.8% to 2.0 MT in Q2 FY10-11, as compared with the corresponding quarter of last year.
Sales increased in spite of 31% lower volumes from Karnataka operations during Q2, due to a state-wide temporary export restriction imposed by the State Government at the end of July 2010.
