Vedanta floats 10,000 t pig iron export tender – sources

Vedanta has floated an export tender for 10,000 t pig iron for Feb ’21 shipment, SteelMint learned from sources. The last date for bid submission is 14 Dec ’20. Notably, the company has raised its domestic offer for foundry grade pig iron by INR 500/t this week in view of improved demand coupled with short supply of the material. The current offer is at INR 37,200/t ($505) DAP Gujarat, SteelMint learned from market sources. The company has a pig iron capacity of 0.83 mn t pa.
