USA: Pig iron imports jump 39% m-o-m in Nov’22

USA’s pig iron imports rose by 39% m-o-m to 362,468 t in Nov’22 from 260,555 t in Oct’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Brazil was the major exporter with 184,399 t, followed by Ukraine with 89,244 t.
However, cumulative imports fell by 27% to 4.18 mnt in Jan-Nov’22 as against 5.76 mnt in the year-ago period.
