USA: Pig iron imports fall over 75%, m-o-m, in April

The USA’s pig iron imports fell sharply by 79.05% m-o-m in Apr’22 to 0.09 mnt from 0.45 mnt in Mar, as per data released by customs.
Brazil was the major exporter at 0.07 mnt in the month under review.
Import volumes fell marginally by 9% to 1.57 mnt on year in Jan-Apr’22 as against 1.72 mnt in the year-ago period.
