USA: Manganese alloys imports inch down by 10% m-o-m in August

Manganese alloys imports into the US decreased by 10% to 68,262 t in Aug’22 compared to 75,557 t in Jul, as per customs data.
Out of total volumes, imports of ferro manganese were at 20,146 t, down 40% m-o-m, while silico manganese imports were at 48,116 t, up 14% m-o-m.
Total manganese alloys imports rose 26% to 229,787 t in Jan-Aug’22.
