USA: Flat steel exports rise 24% to 5.67 mnt in CY’21

Flat steel exports by USA stood at 5.67 mnt in CY’21 compared to 4.56 mnt in the same period last year, SteelMint data shows.

• Export volumes of HRC and plates stood at 1.60 mnt, up 18% y-o-y.
• CRC exports jumped 56% y-o-y to 0.48 mnt in CY’21.
• Mexico and Canada were the top export destinations.
