According to USA customs data, USA flat steel exports which includes (7208 HR coils/Plates,7209 CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets showed the growth of 20% Y-o-Y basis in Sept’17.Nation has exported 0.48 MnT of flat steel in Sep’17 against 0.4 MnT in Sep’16.
On monthly basis, nation’s flat steel exports moved down marginally by 2% in Sep’17 against 0.49 MnT in Aug’17.
During first nine months of Cy17 (Jan-Sep’17) nation’s flat steel exports surged by 23% to 4.24 MnT against 3.44 MnT in similar time-span of CY16.

Mexico was the major flat steel importer from USA – Mexico was the major flat steel importer from USA and has accounted for 47.48% of share during the period of Jan-Sep’17.Other countries include Canada with 46.06% of share and 0.97% of share was of India.
However in the month of Aug’17 USA has exported 0.24 MnT of flat steel to Mexico similar to previous month’s export volumes and Canada at 0.21 MnT .
