According to latest customs data, USA flat steel exports which includes (7208 HR coils/Plates,7209 CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets witness decline by 7% in Q1CY18.
The country has exported 1.23 MnT of flat steel in Q1CY18 in comparison with 1.32 MnT in similar quarter of previous year.
On monthly basis USA flat steel exports surged by 8% to 0.42 MnT in Mar’18 which was 0.39 MnT in Feb’18.
However on yearly premise,flat steel export went down by 14% in Mar’18 against 0.49 MnT in Mar’17.

Country-Wise USA flat steel exports in Q1CY18- Canada was the major flat steel importer from USA and has procured 0.59 MnT,occupied the largest share of 48.24% in Q1CY18.
Second largest importer of flat steel from USA was Mexico with 0.55 MnT,accounts for 44.72%of share in Q1CY18.
Meanwhile India,China and Pakistan also imported small quantities of flat steel from USA in Q1CY18.
