USA: Ferrous scrap exports fall by 18% m-o-m in Jan’23

USA’s ferrous scrap exports decreased by 18% m-o-m to 1.22 mnt in Jan’23 compared to 1.48 mnt in Dec’22.
Mexico emerged as the top importer at 0.30 mnt followed by Turkiye at 0.25 mnt and India at 0.13 mnt.
On a y-o-y basis, ferrous scrap exports by the country inched down by 3% as compared to 1.26 mnt in Jan’22.
