USA: Ferrous scrap exports dip by 6% m-o-m, in Mar’22

US ferrous scrap exports dropped by 6%, m-o-m, to 1.27 mnt in March 2022 as against 1.35 mnt in February, as per customs data.
Mexico was the top importer at 0.32 mnt, followed by Turkey and Taiwan at 0.29 and 0.10 mnt, respectively.
On a year-on-year (y-o-y) basis, too, US export volumes of ferrous scrap decreased by 20% compared with 1.59 mnt in March 2021.
