USA: Aluminium imports hit a 20-month low in Sep’22

USA’s aluminium imports totalled 873,067 t in Sep’22, a fall of 21% m-o-m, as per SteelMint data. The volumes hit a 20-month low due to lower trade of ores since Feb’21.
Imports of ores stood at 297,527 t, semi-finished aluminium at 333,335 t, finished products at 194,362 t and aluminium scrap at 47,823 t in Sep’22.
Canada was the largest exporter, followed by Jamaica and the UAE.
