- Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) has announced that Alcoa has been successfully certified as per ASI Performance Standard with Provisional status for its smelter and casthouses in Massena, New York.
- This location currently has a installed capacity of 130,000 t, all powered by renewable hydroelectricity.
- Alcoa, the eight-largest aluminium producer globally, has earned ASI’s Chain of Custody certification, which allows the company to globally market and sell ASI-certified aluminum.
