US Weekly Coal Production declines

United States(US), one of the largest Coal producing countries, has produced around 19.2 million metric short tonnes (mmst) of Coal at the end of the week 32 (03-09 Aug, 2014).

US weekly Coal production has shown a slight decline of 1.5% against previous week and also fallen by 2.2% from comparable weeks of 2013, reported by the US government agency.

The country has produced around 595.9 mmst YTD Coal that includes Coking, Non-coking & Anthracite. This shows a slight decline of 0.8% as comparable with YTD Coal production in 2013.

Coal production from East of the Mississippi River totaled 8.1 mmst and from the West of the Mississippi River totaled 11.1 mmst during week-end.
