US Weekly Coal Production at 18.9 MnT

United States(US), one of the largest coal producing countries, has produced about 18.86 million metric short tonnes (mmst) of coal at the end of the week 46 (9-15 Nov, 2014).

US weekly coal production has declined slightly against previous week and also shows a growth of 0.9% from comparable week of 2013, reported by the US government agency.

The country has produced about 867.6 mmst YTD coal that includes Coking, Non-coking & Anthracite, which was about 0.2% higher than YTD coal production in 2013.

Coal production from East of the Mississippi River totaled 7.9 mmst and from the West of the Mississippi River totaled 11 mmst during week-end.
