USA: Pig iron imports fall by 38% m-o-m in October

The USA pig iron imports fell by 38% m-o-m in Oct’22 to 260,555 t from 423,046 t in September, as per data recently released by Customs.
Brazil was the major exporter with 196,850 t, followed by Ukraine with 33,781 t.
Cumulative import volumes fell by 26% to 3.82 mnt y-o-y in Jan-Oct’22 as against 5.16 mnt in the year-ago period.
