- The US’s pig iron imports fell 31% m-o-m in Aug’22 to 287,087 t from 415,783 t in July, as per customs data.
- Brazil was the major exporter at 209,737 t, followed by Ukraine at 33,110 t.
- Total imports decreased by 26% to 3.14 mnt y-o-y in Jan-Aug’22 as against 4.27 mnt in the year-ago period.
