Nucor, the largest electric arc furnace (EAF) steel producer of the US, has announced that it will build third galvanising line at California Steel Industries with an investment of $370 million. The capacity of galvanising line is expected to be 400,000 tonnes per annum, and it is expected to be operational by 2025. This will expand the hot-dipped galvanising production capacity of California Steel Industries to 1.2 mnt.
