US: Coal export shipments up marginal 2% m-o-m in Oct’24

Coal exports from the US increased by a marginal 2% to 8.6 mnt in Oct’24, compared to 8.4 mnt in Sep’24, as per BigMint data. Coking coal shipments rose 12% to 4.7 mnt in Oct’24 from 4.2 mnt in Sep’24. However, non-coking coal shipments fell by 7% to 3.9 mnt in Oct’24 from 4.2 mnt in the preceding month.
