A private company located in South India produces about 500 tons of Pig iron on a monthly basis, from its 250 cum Brazilian technology blast furnace, with its internally manufactured coke and sinter.
The Chennai based Pig iron manufacturer closed a 6,000 tons steel grade Pig iron exports deal at $435/MT FOB Chennai port (INR 23,670), with a steel trader located in Dubai, confirmed a senior official of the company.
For domestic buyers, its Pig iron is being quoted at Rs 24,000/MT (steel) and Rs 27,450/MT (foundry) respectively.
Deal has been cancelled.
