United States: Ferrous scrap exports fall 3% in H1 CY’20

United States exported 8.2 mn t of ferrous scrap in H1 CY’20, down 3% y-o-y on lowered scrap collection rates due to COVID-19. It exported 1.38 mn t of ferrous scrap in the month of Jun ’20, majorly stable compared to Jun ’20, as per SteelMint statistics. Turkey stood the largest importer at 398,513 t followed by Canada and Taiwan.
