Ukraine Iron Ore Exports High by 19% in Mar’17

Trade statistics released by the fourth largest iron ore exporter Ukraine customs show that the iron ore exports by the country were reasonably high at 3.20 MnT by 19% in Mar’17. In Feb’17, the country exported around 2.70 MnT iron ore.

In Mar’16, the country exported 3.70 MnT iron ore. The exports dropped by 13% Y-o-Y for the corresponding month.Ukraine Iron Ore Exports, Ukraine, Iron Ore, Exports

The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps and fines) exports in Mar’17 were registered at 1.79 MnT, 19% higher than the quantity exported last month as it was reported to be 1.50 MnT in Feb’17. However, for Mar’17 it was down by 18% Y-o-Y for the month, compared to last year, as it was 2.19 MnT in Mar’16.

The agglomerated iron ore (pellets and concentrate) exports in Mar’17 were registered at 1.42 MnT up by 18% compared to Feb’17 and 15% Y-o-Y compared to Mar’16.
