Ukraine has exported 3.09 MnT in Aug’17, according to the trade data released by Ukraine Customs.
Ukrainian iron ore exports have decreased by 9% M-o-M in the Aug’17 against 3.38 MnT in Jul’17. It was down by 8% on yearly basis compared to Aug’16 which was 3.36 MnT.
During Jan-Aug’17, Ukraine has exported 25.76 MnT iron ore down by 5% against same period last year which was 27.25 MnT.
In Aug’17, an agglomerated (pellets/concentrate) iron ore exports were down by 12% M-o-M to 1.2 MnT, against 1.36 MnT in Jul’17. However, on yearly basis imports were also down by 8% in Aug’17 against 1.31 MnT in Aug’16.
Similarly the non-agglomerated (fines/lump) iron ore exports were down by 7% to1.89 MnT in Aug’17 against 2.03 MnT in Jul’17. It was also down by 8% Y-o-Y in Aug’17 against 2.05 MnT in Aug’16.

China continues to remain the largest iron ore importer from Ukraine in the month of Aug’17 to 1.06 MnT followed by Slovakia (0.41 MnT), Czech Republic (0.35 MnT) and Austria at 0.33 MnT.
