- Pellet output climbs on improved operating performance
- High-grade concentrate production also recovers q-o-q
Ukraine’s Ferrexpo, a leading iron ore pellet producer and exporter, reported pellet production of 860,213 tonnes (t) in Q2CY’26, up 64% q-o-q from the previous quarter. The company also increased production of high-grade iron ore concentrate by 52% q-o-q to 103,196 t, compared with 67,825 t in Q1CY’26, reflecting improved operational stability.
The higher output is expected to modestly improve the availability of premium iron ore feedstock in the seaborne market. However, the sustainability of production remains contingent on the company’s financial position and operating conditions in Ukraine.
