A recent tender floated by VSP (Vizag Steel Plant) for exports of 30,000 tonnes steel grade Pig Iron fetched maximum bid by a UK based steel trader, Stemcor at around $410/t FOB Indian East Coast (Vizag Port).
Industry sources report that shipment will be done sometime in the month of September and is likely to be sold in South East Asian market.
Meanwhile, Pig Iron prices in Ukraine and Russia are hovering around $420/t FOB. Whereas, Pig Iron offers to SE Asian countries like Taiwan and Korea stands in the range of $ 440-445/t CFR.
