Turkiye’s steel mill books European scrap cargoes at lower prices

Imported scrap prices into Turkey have fallen significantly in recently concluded deals from European suppliers.
The lowest priced deal was concluded at an average of $335/t CFR. The cargo comprised 25,000 t of HMS (80:20) and 5,000 t each of PNS and shredded.
SteelMint’s assessment for US-origin HMS 1&2 (80:20) stood at $345-350/t CFR, moving down significantly by around $10-15/t d-o-d.
