Turkiye: Imported scrap prices remain range-bound amid multiple deals for EU, US cargo

Turkish imported scrap prices stayed range-bound at $338-345/t on 8 Jan’25, as mills used subdued demand to push prices lower.

The following deals were captured:

• A Mediterranean mill booked US-origin bulk cargo at $345/t for HMS (80:20) and $365/t for shredded and bonus (CFR Turkiye).
• Another Mediterranean mill booked EU-origin bulk HMS (80:20) at $338/t.
• West Marmara-based mill booked EU-origin bulk HMS (80:20) at $337.5/t.
