Turkiye: Imported ferrous scrap prices continue to fall in recent US, Baltic deals

Turkish mills are securing imported scrap at reduced prices as rebar sales slow down.

• A West Marmara mill booked a US-origin bulk scrap cargo at $362/t for HMS (80:20) and $382/t for shredded and bonus grade.
• Similarly, a mill in the Aegean region secured a 40,000 t Baltic-origin cargo at $360/t for HMS (80:20) and $380/t for shredded and bonus.
