Turkiye: Ferrous scrap imports increase by 8% m-o-m in Jan’23

Turkiye’s ferrous scrap imports were recorded at 1.36 mnt in Jan’23, higher by 8% m-o-m from 1.26 mnt in Dec’22, as per SteelMint’s data.
The US was the largest supplier at 245,925 t, followed by Belgium at 151,179 t and the UK at 129,553 t.
Meanwhile, imports declined by 45% y-o-y compared to 2.46 mnt in Jan’22.
