Turkiye’s chrome ore exports surged by 284% m-o-m to 123,792t against 32,218 t in Sep’22, as per Customs data. In Oct’22, China became the leading importer of chrome ore with 92,306t, up 248%. This was a result of an increase in ferro chrome production in China by 8% m-o-m to 446,200t in Oct’22. However, in Jan-Oct’22, cumulative exports dropped by 12% y-o-y to 1,109,783 t.
