Turkish mills have held purchases after few
bulk cargoes were bought last week.
“Turkish steel mills are in no hurry to
secure scrap from US, UK or CIS. They will only buy if steel prices will
rise.” said a local trader based in Istanbul, Turkey.
Last offers for HMS 1&2 (80:20) from US
were heard to be traded at $380-382/MT CFR Turkey. Market seems to be range
bound in coming weeks on the back of the unpredictable market scenarios and
steel prices.
