Imported scrap prices to Turkey hit eight years high this week with numerous deals getting concluded recently, SteelMint learned. A black sea region-based steelmaker has booked USA origin bulk cargo, comprising of 13,500t of HMS(80:20) at $450/t, 14,000t of shredded and 3,000t of bonus at $460/t each, while 2,000t of busheling at $470/t CFR Turkey basis. In another deal concluded at $455/t for UK HMS(80:20) by eastern Marmara based steelmaker.
