Turkish imported scrap prices have risen further in recently concluded trades, confirmed by SteelMint. A western Marmara region based steelmaker has booked European origin bulk cargo, comprising of 15,000t of HMS (75:25), 7,500t HMS1 and PNS, 5,000t of shredded, 5,000t of new cutting, 5,000t of cutted beams at an average price of $400/t CFR Turkey level. SteelMint’s assessment for HMS (80:20) for USA origin now stands at $398/t, moving up sharply by $15/t against yesterday.
