Turkish ferrous scrap imports nearly double in July

Ferrous scrap imports to Turkey increased sharply by 53% to 2.35 mn t in Jul ’20 as against 1.53 mn t in Jun ’20 as per SteelMint statistics. Imports from USA jumped sharply by 95% to 0.57 mn t in Jul ’20. It is expected that in coming months, import volumes from USA may fall owing to tight availability.
