Turkish Billet and Re-bar prices up by $10-20/t on higher scrap prices and improved demand

Re-bar and billet prices in Turkey went up by $10-20/t on improved demand higher scrap prices in International market.


Turkish rebar traders and steel mills have started buying in full force to replenish their depleting inventories.


Billet offers have been quoted this week at $610-615/t cfr Turkey, up by $10/t  for the end of March


London Metal Exchange steel billet prices increased again on Friday February 24 on a stronger euro-dollar exchange rate and higher scrap costs.3-month official billet prices rose to $535/545 per tonne on Friday, up from $523/528 a day earlier.  Cash prices also climbed to $510/510.50 per tonne on Friday.
