Turkey’s Yildiz to build 4 mnt smelting plant, new hot-rolling mill

Yildiz Demir Celik is building a melting plant with capacity of 4 mnt/year and a 3.5 mnt hot rolling mill in Koca Elicatepe, western Turkey, which are scheduled to start production within 36 months. The company’s hot-dip galvanised coil production capacity is 400,000 t/year, while cold-rolled coil production capacity is 300,000 t. Yildiz is targeting a galvanising capacity of 900,000 t.
