Turkish steel producer Habas has contracted Danieli for the supply of a new wire rod line and a slab caster electrical and automation systems, along with technological packages. The new wire rod mill will be installed in the Aliaga steelmaking plant and operations are expected to start by the 3rd quarter of 2021. Habas is the leading exporter of steel products in Turkey. The company has a production capacity of 4.75 mn t pa liquid steel.
