According to the latest customs data, Turkey flat steel imports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates), 7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets), 7210/7212(GP/GC) decline by 15% in H1CY17 to 3.64 MnT against 4.28 MnT in similar time-frame of previous year.
On monthly premise,Turkey flat steel imports rose by 12% in Jun’17 to 0.65 MnT against 0.58 MnT in May’17.
However during yearly basis,Turkey flat steel imports was down by 7% against 0.7 MnT in previous year.

Country-Wise Turkey Flat Steel imports in H1CY17-Russia was the major flat steel exporter and has procured 1.59 MnT of flat steel in H1CY17.Other major flat steel exporting countries to Turkey include Ukraine,France and South Korea.
