Turkey: Steel billet imports rise nearly 20%, m-o-m, in April

Turkey’s steel billet imports rose by 19.43% m-o-m in Apr’22 to 0.48 mnt from 0.40 mnt in Mar, as per data released by customs.
Russia was the largest exporter at 0.35 mnt followed by India at 0.03 mnt.
However, import volumes decreased by 13% on year to 1.66 mnt in Jan-Apr’22 as against 1.91 mnt in the year-ago period.
