Turkey: Silico manganese imports surge 78% in May’22

Turkey’s silico manganese imports increased significantly by 78% to 26,880 t in May’22 against 15,120 t in Apr’22.
Increased buying for May shipments due to low inventories and declining global prices boosted imports.
Major exporting countries to Turkey were India 11,932 t, up by 77% followed by Georgia and Norway.
Cumulative imports in Jan-May’22 decreased by 13% y-o-y to 106,733 t.
