Ferrous scrap import prices into Turkey have fallen by $5/t in a recent deal. A West Marmara-based steel mill booked a bulk cargo from Europe containing 25,000 t of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $465/t CFR, 15,000 t of shredded material and 5,000 t of HMS 1 and PNS at $480 and $485/t respectively for Aug’21 shipment. A steel company based in the Mediterranean region booked a Baltic-origin bulk cargo comprising HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $469/t and bonus scrap at $484/t.
