Turkey’s scrap import prices have decreased by $5-10/t w-o-w in recent deals concluded from the US, sources have confirmed.
Two US-origin bulk cargoes have been booked by a West Marmara-based steel mill. The cargoes consisted of HMS 1&2 (80:20) and shredded scrap. While the former was sold at around $500/t, CFR Turkey, the shredded material fetched a price of $520/t, CFR.
