Turkey, the world’s third largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.10 MnT Pig iron in Aug’16 according to trade statistics released by Turkey customs.
Turkey Pig iron imports have registered a growth of 100% M-o-M in Aug’16 against 0.05 MnT in Jul’16. On similar lines, imports were up by 100% Y-o-Y against 0.05 MnT in Aug’15.
In the first eight months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 0.77 MnT, up by 10% as compared to 0.70 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Ukraine, Russia and Brazil. In Aug’16, imports from Ukraine has registered at 0.07 MnT and from Russia it was 0.02 MnT.
