Turkey, the world’s third largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.08 MnT Pig iron in Sept’16 according to trade statistics released by Turkey customs.
Turkey Pig iron imports have registered a downfall of 20% M-o-M in Sept’16 against 0.10 MnT in Aug’16. On the contrary, imports were up by 33% Y-o-Y against 0.06 MnT in Sept’15.
In the first nine months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 0.85 MnT, down by 12% as compared to 0.76 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Ukraine, Russia and Brazil. In Sept’16, imports from Ukraine has registered at 0.06 MnT and from Russia it was 0.02 MnT.
