Turkey: Long steel imports rise sharply by 85% in Oct’21

Long steel imports by Turkey edged up significantly by 85% to 49,384 tonnes (t) in Oct’21 against 26,697 t a month ago, as per data maintained with SteelMint.

• Rebar held the lion’s share of imports at 40,134 t, followed by wire rods at 4,910 t and structuals at 4,340 t.
• Spain, Germany and Russia were the top importers to Turkey.
