Imported scrap prices in Turkey remained firm in the recent deep-sea bulk cargo booking made by an Aegean region-based steel manufacturer. The USA origin cargo comprised in the entirety of HMS 1&2(80:20) at $285/t CFR Turkey level. SteelMint assessment currently stands at $285/t CFR Turkey. Turkish ferrous scrap imports witnessed a fall by 20% m-o-m to 1.89 mn t in Aug’20.
